OF ALL THE RELIGIONS IN THE WORLD ONLY HINDU IS HOMELESS: A DEMAND FOR AN EXCLUSIVE HINDU COUNTRY. M. Nageswara Rao
The Indian state of Manipur has been literally burning for nearly 2 years with unprecedented violence unleashed by Christian Kukis, who occupy more than 50% of Manipur territory, against Hindu Meteis who are concentrated in about 5% of land of Manipur in its Imphal valley which is surrounded by hills inhabited by Christians. While people of Nagaland, Mizoram and Meghalaya which border Manipur, have mostly been converted to Christianity, the Hindu Meteis of Manipur have become a stumbling block in making Manipur a complete Christian state. Hence, the targeted Christian violence, nay Christian terrorism, against Hindu Meteis to force the latter to either convert to Christianity or evict them out of Manipur.
In the last week of May 2024, the then PM of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina had alleged a conspiracy to create a Christian country similar to East Timor by taking parts of Bangladesh (Chattogram) and Myanmar with a base in the Bay of Bengal. She claimed she was offered an easy re-election in January, 2025 if she permitted a foreign nation to establish an airbase in Bangladesh, without disclosing the country’s name. Within 3 months, that is in August 2024, she was ousted in a coup. And no prizes for guess as to who is behind her ouster.
On 4th September 2024 PU Lalduhoma, Chief Minister of Indian Mizoram, during his visit to USA in his speech at Indianapolis broadly hinted about demand for creation of a Christian country comprising parts of India, Myanmar and Bangladesh. I quote him: “As I approach the end of my speech, I want to let everyone here know that the primary reason I accepted the invitation to visit the United States is to seek a path towards unity for all of us. We are one people—brothers and sisters—and we cannot afford to be divided or apart from one another. I want us to have the conviction and confidence that one day, through the strength of God, who made us a nation, we will rise together under one leadership to achieve our destiny of nationhood. While a country may have borders, a true nation transcends such limitations. We have been unjustly divided, forced to exist under three different governments in three different countries, and this is something we can never accept.” Full text of his speech can be read https://dipr.mizoram.gov.in/post/speech-of-pu-lalduhoma-chief-minister-mizoram-indianapolis-usa-4092024…
- There are about 3 million Chin-Kuki-Zo people who reside in the areas of trijunction of Myanmar, India and Bangladesh. See the maphere.
- The demand for carving out a Christian country for Chin-Kuki-Zo people made by Lalduhoma on the US soil is extraordinarily significant as it shows who are behind it. Coupled with Sheikh Hasina’s revelation and her ouster within no time, it is a pointer that it will be a reality sooner than later.
- In this connection it is pertinent to refer to the relative religious demography and number of countries in the world.
- Christianity is the world’s largest religion with about 2400 million (2.4 billion) Christians, and it has 157 Christian countries.
- Islam is the world’s 2nd largest with about 1900 million (1.9 billion) Muslims, and it has 50 Islamic countries.
- Buddhism is the world’s 4th largest religions with about 500 million (0.5 billion) Buddhists, and it has 7 Buddhist countries.
- Judaism is one of tiniest religions in the world with a population of about 15.7 million (0.0157 billion) Jews, and it has one Jewish country namely Israel.
Whereas Hindu is the 3rd largest religion in the world with about 1100 million (1.1 billion) Hindus constituting 15.1% of world population. That is to say, one in every 7 persons in the world is a Hindu. Yet, there is no exclusive Hindu country in the world as the only two Hindu majority countries namely, India and the tiny Nepal are secular.
To reiterate, the 3rd largest religion in the world Hindu does not have a single country of its own, whereas Judaism with miniscule 0.2% of world population has a country of its own. In other words, HINDUS, WHO CONSTITUTE 15% OF WORLD’S POPULATION AND WITH NOT EVEN ONE HINDU COUNTRY, ARE LITERALLY HOMELESS AND ORPHANS.
It must be noted that the religious war launched against Hindu religion and Hindus 1300 years ago has not abated even a bit. In fact, it has become more virulent and vicious with the joining of other abrahamic and anti-Hindu forces. It is a truism that it is extremely difficult for any religion to survive without a State of its own. In the case of Hindus in India, who are an amorphous numerical majority but otherwise worse than a tiny minority, the problem is compounded as the #PseudoSecular Indian Constitution and Indian State are positively hostile to Hindu religion as they deny even #EqualRightsForHindus on par with those given to other religious groups, and they have taken over Hindu Temples and thereby deprived Hindu religion of institutional support and resource capacity needed for sustenance. Thus, Hindus and Hindu religion have been under an existential threat which cannot be mitigated without they having a Hindu State of their own.
If the Christian Chin-Kuki-Zo people who are estimated to be around 3 million across 3 countries namely, Bangladesh, India and Myanmar can demand a creation of a separate Christian country; if 15.7 million Jews can have a separate Jewish country Israel; if 500 million Buddhists can have 7 Buddhist countries; if 1900 million Muslims can have 50 Islamic countries; if 2400 million Christians can have 157 Christian countries, should not Hindus who are more than 1100 million have at least one exclusive Hindu country? Is it unreasonable?
