నమ్మ బెంగళూరులో స్థానికులమైన మనం ఎంత సురక్షితంగా ఉన్నాము ????
ప్రియమైన వారందరికీ, నేను చాలా ఆలోచించిన తర్వాత రెండు రోజుల క్రితం నమ్మ బెంగళూరులో నాకు ఎదురైన ఒక భయానక అనుభవాన్ని మీతో పంచుకోవాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాను. నా స్నేహితులతో, కుటుంబం మరియు పోలీసు డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌లోని కొంతమంది పరిచయస్తులతో మాట్లాడిన తర్వాత ఈ ఇస్యూ వదిలేద్దామని మొదట అనుకున్నాను. కానీ, నా తోటి బెంగుళూరువాసుల ప్రయోజనాల కోసం నేను చివరకు దాని గురించి పోస్ట్ చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాను.

ఫ్రేజర్ టౌన్ సమీపంలోని పులికేశి నగర్‌లోని మసీదు రోడ్డులోని "కరామా" అనే రెస్టారెంట్‌లో ఒక సాయంత్రం నేను కుటుంబంతో కలిసి సాధారణ విందుకు వెళ్ళాం.
డిన్నర్ పూర్తి చేసిన తర్వాత మేము మా వాహనాన్ని వాలెట్ పార్కింగ్ నుండి అందుకుని మా వాహనాన్ని మేము తరలించబోతున్నప్పుడు డ్రైవర్ సీటు కిటికీ దగ్గర అకస్మాత్తుగా ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తులు వచ్చి వాహనం చాలా పెద్దదని, అది అకస్మాత్తుగా కదిలితే అది వారిని తాకవచ్చు అని వాదించడం ప్రారంభించారు. నా భర్త దానిని పట్టించుకోలేదు.
ఎందుకంటే కారు కదిలితే వారికి తగలవచ్చు అనే ఊహతో వారు మాట్లాడుతున్నారు కానీ, కారు వారికి తగిలే చాన్స్ లేదు. నా భర్త వాహనాన్ని కొంచెం ముందుకు కదిపారు. అప్పటికే ఈ ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తులు నా భర్తని కుటుంబాన్ని వారి భాషలో దుర్భాషలాడడం ప్రారంభించారు, ఈ కన్నడ ప్రజలకు గుణపాఠం చెప్పాలి అంటూ నా భర్త ముఖంపై కొట్టడానికి కూడా ప్రయత్నించారు. నా భర్త చాలా ఓపికగా ఉన్నాడు, పెద్దగా స్పందించలేదు. నేను ఆశ్చర్యపోయాను ఎందుకంటే అతను సాధారణంగా కోపి. 2 - 3 నిమిషాల్లోనే 20 - 30 మంది సభ్యులతో కూడిన గుంపు ముఠా గుమిగూడారు, వారిలో ఇద్దరు నా భర్త బంగారు గొలుసును పట్టుకుని, దాన్ని చాలా గట్టిగా లాక్కున్నారు, అది బయటకు వచ్చింది. వారు దానిని వారి వైపుకు లాగడానికి ప్రయత్నించారు, కానీ నా భర్త సమయానికి గ్రహించి, దానిని గట్టిగా పట్టుకుని, నాకు ఇచ్చాడు.
మా వాహనంలో మహిళలు & కుటుంబ సభ్యులు ఉన్నందున నా భర్త వారితో గట్టిగా పొట్లాడలేదు. మేము కన్నడలో మాట్లాడుకుంటున్నామని ఆ కుర్రాళ్లకు సమస్య వచ్చింది. మీరు మా ప్రాంతానికి వచ్చారు, మీకు కావలసిన భాషల్లో మాట్లాడటం మానేయాలి. "యే లోకల్ కన్నడ్ వాలా హే" " (వీళ్ళు స్థానిక కన్నడ ప్రజలు అని వారు అంటున్నారు) నా హబ్బీ & నేను కన్నడలో మాత్రమే మాట్లాడినప్పుడు అది వారిని మరింత రెచ్చగొట్టింది. వారు మీ "కన్నడ స్టైల్" ను మీరే ఉంచుకోండి అని అన్నారు. చాలా మంది హిందీ, ఉర్దూ, మాట్లాడితే విరిగిన కన్నడ భాషలో కొందరు మాట్లాడుతున్నారు. నాకు తెలిసిన ఇన్‌స్పెక్టర్‌కి అత్యవసర కాల్ చేసినంత వెంటనే, అసలు అక్కడ ఏమి జరగనట్లు సెకెండ్స్ లో అందరూ మాయమయ్యారు. మేము సమీపంలో ఒక పెట్రోలింగ్ పోలీసు వాహనాన్ని ASI శ్రీ ఉమేష్‌కి జరిగిన సంఘటనను వివరించాము. అయితే, అతను వచ్చి ఏం జరిగిందో తెలుసుకునే మర్యాద కూడా చూపించకుండా డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌లోని ఉన్నతాధికారులతో మాట్లాడాలని చెప్పాడు.
ఈ సంఘటన తర్వాత నేను పూర్తిగా షాక్‌లో ఉన్నాను. నేను పుట్టిన మరియు జీవితంలో నాకు ప్రతిదీ అందించిన నగరంలో మళ్ళీ బయటకు వెళ్లడం నాకు ఇప్పటికీ భయంగా ఉంది. నా నగరంలో ఇలాంటి అనుభవం ఎదురవడం ఇదే తొలిసారి. నేను దీన్ని పోలీసు శాఖ మరియు కర్ణాటక ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టికి తీసుకురావడానికి, భవిష్యత్తులో ఏ మహిళ లేదా కుటుంబానికి బెంగళూరులో ఇలాంటి కష్టాలు రాకుండా చూసుకోవడానికి దీన్ని పోస్ట్ చేస్తున్నాను.
బెంగుళూరులో శాంతియుతంగా జీవించే వారితో ఇలాంటి గొడవలు సృష్టించే హక్కు ఎవరికీ లేదు! ఇటువంటప్పుడు, నా మదిలో ప్రశ్నలు మెదిలాయి. ఎందుకంటే, ఇది నా కళ్ల ముందు జరగడాన్ని చూశాను.
- మనం నివసిస్తున్న ప్రాంతం పాకిస్తాన్‌లో లేదా ఆఫ్గనిస్తాన్‌లో ఉందా??
- నా స్వంత నగరంలో నా భాష కన్నడను ఉపయోగించడం నేరమా? దాని కోసం దూషింపబడాలా???
- మన స్వంత నగరంలో మనం నిజంగా ఎంత సురక్షితంగా ఉన్నాము?
- ఇక్కడే నమ్మ బెంగుళూరులో పుట్టి పెరిగిన మనం ఇలాంటి దీర్ఘకాల మానసిక గాయానికి దారితీసే ఇలాంటి సంఘటనలు జరగుతూ ఉంటే కళ్లుమూసుకొని ఊరుకోవాల్సిందేనా?మనం ఎంతగానో ఇష్టపడే మన నగరంలో ఇలాంటి సంఘటనలు సర్వసాధారణం కాకూడదని, ఈ విషయాన్ని పరిశీలించి తగిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని గౌరవనీయులైన రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి & కర్ణాటక పోలీసు శాఖను నేను వినమ్రంగా కోరుతున్నాను.

How safe are we the locals of Bangalore?
Dear all, after a lot of thought I decided to share with you a scary experience I had in Namma Bangalore two days back. After talking to my friends, family, and some acquaintances in the police department, I thought I'd put this issue up. But, for the sake of my fellow Bangaloreans I finally decided to post about it.
Me and my family went for a simple dinner one evening at a restaurant called "Karama" on Masjid road Pulikeshi Nagar near Fraser Town.
After finishing dinner we received our vehicle from a valet parking lot and as we were about to move our vehicle two guys suddenly came up at the driver's seat window and started arguing that the vehicle was so big that if it moved suddenly it might hit them. My husband didn't care for it.
Because they are talking with the assumption that if the car moves they might hit them, but there is no chance of the car hitting them. My husband moved the vehicle a little further. Already these two people have started abusing my husband's family in their language, they have also tried to slap my husband on the face to teach these Kannada people a lesson. My husband is very patient and unresponsive. I'm surprised because he's usually angry. Within 2-3 minutes a crowd of 20-30 members gathered, two of them grabbed my husband's gold chain and grabbed it so hard it came out. They tried to pull it towards them, but my husband caught it in time and gave it to me.
My husband didn't fight them hard because we had women & family members in our vehicle. Those guys got a problem because we are speaking in Kannada. You came to our area, stop speaking all the languages you want. "Ae local Kannada wala hae" (they say they are local Kannada people) when my hubby & I spoke only in Kannada, it provoked them even more. Keep your "kannada style" they said. Many people speak Hindi, Urdu and some are speaking in broken Kannada language. As soon as I made an emergency call to the inspector I know, everyone disappeared within seconds like nothing ever happened there. We explained the incident that happened to ASI Sri Umesh, a patrol police vehicle nearby. However, he did say he should speak to senior officials in the department without showing any courtesy to come and find out what happened.
I was in complete shock after this incident. I still dread going out again in the city I was born and gave me everything in life. This is the first time I have faced such an experience in my city. I am posting this to bring this to the attention of police department and Karnataka Govt, to ensure that no woman or family will face such difficulties in Bangalore in future.
No one has the right to create conflicts like this with those who live peacefully in Bangalore! At this point, I have questions in my mind. Because, I saw it happen before my eyes.
- Is the area we live in in Pakistan or Afghanistan??
- Is it a crime to use my language Kannada in my own city? Should be blamed for that???.
- How safe are we really in our own city?
- We who were born and raised here in Bangalore, should we close our eyes and keep quiet if such incidents are happening which lead to long term mental injury?
I humbly request Hon'ble Chief Minister of State & Karnataka Police Department to look into this matter and take appropriate action.
