The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has welcomed the budget that was introduced today (February 1) in Lok Sabha by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In its press release, the BMS praised the budget for emphasizing ease of living, which has been continuously demanded by Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh. It also welcomed the initiatives for sustainable economic development for the coming years.
The BMS appreciated the budget for emphasizing infrastructure development and focusing on PM GatiShakti and logistics development to boost the economy and provide more employment in the country.
It welcomed the up-gradation of 2 lakh Anganwadi and brought 1.5 lakh post offices on the core banking system, which will benefit rural areas. It also praised the budget for linking five rivers, promoting organic farming, PLI in 14 sectors, promoting Fintech, digital economy, financial inclusion, digital payment system, and emphasizing the working population's well-being and decent living conditions.
At the same time, the BMS expressed disappointment for not increasing the pension under EPS 95, leaving the income tax slab unchanged, revising the fiscal deficit of 6.9%, and tilting towards privatization.
